A few things worth knowing
Does it support DWG or binary DXF?
No. Export an ASCII/text DXF from your CAD software. This first viewer handles 2D model space; it does not implement a proprietary DWG decoder or a full 3D/paper-space CAD renderer.
Which entities are supported?
Lines, ordinary polylines including bulge arcs, circles/arcs/ellipses, points, solids, projected wireframe faces, basic text and bounded block inserts/arrays. Curves are sampled at 5° steps. CAD fonts, text layout, linetypes and widths are approximate; see the permanent scope notes and per-file drawing report.
What are the processing limits?
10 MiB text DXF, 50,000 top-level entities, 100,000 expanded entity visits, 50,000 render primitives and 300,000 sampled vertices. Nested inserts are bounded to 12 levels and arrays to 1000 members. Parsing has a 12-second timeout. Oversized drawings stop instead of silently truncating.
Are drawing units converted?
No. The DXF declared unit code is reported when recognized. Coordinates remain in their original drawing units. The displayed extents cover only supported rendered geometry; they are not a measurement certification.
What does the PNG contain?
Only the current viewport, including the chosen layer visibility, colors, grid and text setting. It is a raster screenshot of this approximate preview, not a full-resolution CAD conversion or the original DXF.
Does anything leave my device?
No drawing data is uploaded, logged or persisted by this tool. Self-hosted dxf-parser reads the local file; external references are never fetched. Clear/replacement/cancel terminates the parser worker and releases active references. Downloads occur only when you choose them.
