STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB/glTF 2.0, plain OFF, 3DS, legacy VTK POLYDATA and PCD. One model, plus local BIN companions for glTF. 50 MiB per file / 100 MiB total. Textures and material files are not loaded.

Display
Static geometry and basic object colors only. Textures, transparency, vertex colors, rigging and animation are not reproduced.
The grid is a normalized view reference, not a physical ruler. Source bounds below retain original coordinates.
Objects
Your model will appear here. WebGL 2 is required.
Drag to orbit · right-drag to pan · wheel/pinch to zoom. Focus the viewer: arrows orbit, Shift + arrows pan, +/− zoom, 0 fits. Use buttons for the same actions.

Supported format details
STL: ASCII/binary triangles. OBJ: geometry, lines and points; MTL/textures excluded. PLY: mesh or point positions; colors excluded. GLB/glTF: uncompressed glTF 2.0 static geometry, node transforms and base object colors; select local BIN buffers together. Sparse accessors, skins, morph targets, required extensions and Draco/meshopt compression are rejected. Plain OFF: positions and polygon fan triangulation; COFF/NOFF/colors excluded. 3DS: static geometry/basic colors, maps excluded. VTK: legacy POLYDATA only, not XML/VTP. PCD: ASCII/binary point clouds supported by the local loader. Corrupt or unsupported variants may fail explicitly.
Viewer limits: 2 million rendered vertices, 500,000 triangles, 2,000 render objects and a 15-second parse timeout. Coordinates must be finite and within ±1e12. Dimensions are bounding extents, not certification of printability, topology or engineering accuracy. DWG, STEP/STP, IGES, FBX, DAE, 3MF, USD/USDZ, BLEND and proprietary native CAD formats are not supported in this release. Keep the source file.
A FEW SIMPLE STEPS
How to use 3D Model Viewer
Choose one supported model or load the example. For glTF, select its local BIN companions together.
Orbit, pan and zoom with the mouse, touch, keyboard or navigation buttons.
Download a PNG of the current view or the model information report.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Why use this tool?
Your model and companion buffers stay on your device. Parsing runs in a cancellable local worker, and no textures or remote model resources are requested.
Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.
A few things worth knowing
Does this support every 3D format?
No. This release supports bounded geometry variants of STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB/glTF 2.0, plain OFF, 3DS, legacy VTK POLYDATA and PCD. It does not open DWG, STEP/IGES, FBX, DAE, 3MF, USDZ or native Blender/CAD files. Export to a supported static format first.
Are textures, animation and compressed glTF supported?
No. The viewer shows static geometry and basic object colors. OBJ MTL files, textures, transparency, vertex colors and animation are excluded. glTF skins, morph targets, sparse accessors, required extensions and compressed geometry are rejected explicitly. External buffers must be selected local BIN files, not network URLs.
Are dimensions and the grid physical measurements?
Bounds are coordinate extents of the loaded static geometry. glTF uses metres; other supported formats generally have unspecified units. The fitted reference grid is not a physical ruler. This viewer does not certify watertightness, printability or engineering accuracy.
What browser and file limits apply?
WebGL 2 is required. Choose up to 50 MiB per file and 100 MiB total. Geometry is capped at 2 million rendered vertices, 500,000 triangles and 2,000 render objects, with a 15-second parser timeout. Unsupported or malformed variants fail with an error.
