Text DXF up to 10 MiB. One-page raster PDF. Rendering is capped at 4096 px per side; effective DPI is shown. No DWG or binary DXF. UTF-8, with a reported Windows-1252 fallback.

Fit preserves drawing proportions on the chosen paper; it is not a 1:1 CAD scale. A small stroke/point allowance is added to the margin. Near-white lines become dark on white; black lines become light on dark. Other CAD colors may have low contrast.

No PDF generated.

This preview renders the actual exported PDF with PDF.js. The PDF contains one raster image, not vector CAD paths or searchable text. Resolution may reduce automatically to stay within the 4096 px limit; inspect the effective DPI below. Review fine lines and approximate labels before printing.

Drawing report

Supported 2D model-space lines, ordinary polylines/bulges, circles/arcs/ellipses, points, solids, projected 3DFACE wireframes, basic text and bounded inserts/arrays. Curves are sampled at 5°; text uses system fonts and simplified formatting/alignment. Hatches, splines, dimensions, meshes, paper layouts, non-default extrusion coordinates and external references are not reproduced. Nonzero Z may project to XY. Linetypes, lineweights and CAD fonts are not exact. PDF embeds a raster image of the fitted drawing, not editable CAD geometry or vector paths. Keep the original DXF and verify critical work in CAD software.

    A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use DXF to PDF

    1. Choose a text DXF or load the example. Read the drawing report for unsupported or approximate geometry.
    2. Choose paper size, orientation, margin, line width and resolution. Select the layers and text to include. The drawing fits proportionally.
    3. Review the actual generated PDF preview and effective DPI. Download the one-page PDF and optional report.

    Why use this tool?

Your drawing is never uploaded to any server; all parsing, conversion and previews run locally in your browser. Layer controls and an actual export preview help you review the result before saving.

Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.

    A few things worth knowing

    Is this a vector PDF?

No. This version places a raster rendering of the selected drawing on one PDF page. Text is part of that image and is not searchable. Use DXF to SVG when you need scalable vector artwork.

Does it preserve 1:1 CAD scale?

No. Supported geometry is fitted proportionally inside the selected paper size and margin, with a small allowance for strokes and points. Declared drawing units are reported, but the output is not a certified 1:1 engineering plot.

Why is the effective DPI lower than my setting?

To bound memory use, the raster rendering is limited to 4096 pixels on its longest side. Large paper sizes can therefore reduce the effective DPI. The result summary reports the actual raster size and effective resolution.

Does it reproduce every CAD detail?

No. Supported 2D model-space geometry is rendered with 5-degree curve sampling and approximate system-font text. Unsupported entities are skipped and reported. Layouts, dimensions, hatches, splines, CAD font metrics and lineweights are not reproduced exactly. Text DXF up to 10 MiB is supported, not DWG or binary DXF. Keep the original DXF and verify critical work in CAD software.
