Ready. Choose a PDF.
ZIPs include a text manifest mapping each PDF to original page numbers. No partial download is offered if any part fails. Files are never uploaded or opened automatically. Bookmarks, attachments, source document metadata and signatures are not preserved as a new document; page annotations may be copied. This is not PDF sanitization.
Choose a PDF up to 50 MiB and wait for its page count to load locally.
Select extraction, separate pages or grouped parts. Enter inclusive page ranges such as 1, 3-5, or leave blank for all pages.
For grouped parts, adjust Pages per part with the slider or exact number input. Review the output plan, then click Split PDF.
Download the extracted PDF or ZIP of PDF parts. ZIPs include a manifest mapping filenames to original page numbers.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Why use this tool?
Your PDF is never uploaded to any server. A self-hosted PDF library copies pages locally inside a cancellable browser worker. No accounts, remote services or persistent document history are required. Clear releases the selected file and output.
Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.
A few things worth knowing
How are page ranges ordered?
Page numbers are one-based and ranges are inclusive. Duplicates are removed and pages are exported in ascending original order. For example, 5, 1, 3-4 exports pages 1, 3, 4 and 5. Blank means all pages. Reversed ranges and out-of-bounds pages are rejected.
How do the three modes differ?
Extract creates one PDF containing the selected pages. Separate pages creates a one-page PDF for each selected page. Group mode divides the selected sequence into parts of 1–100 pages, with a shorter final part if needed. Both multi-file modes download a ZIP with a page-mapping manifest.
What limits and PDF features are supported?
Input is limited to 50 MiB and 500 pages. ZIPs can contain at most 100 PDF parts, with 100 MiB combined PDF output and a 101 MiB ZIP limit. Encrypted PDFs, interactive forms and signature fields are unsupported. Source page sizes and rotations are copied without rasterization. Document-level bookmarks, attachments, source metadata and signatures are not preserved as a new document; page annotations may be copied. Splitting is not sanitization.
Does Stop keep partial files?
No. No download is offered unless every selected part succeeds. Stop, changing settings or Clear discards pending output. Processing is limited to 30 seconds per inspection or split operation. Try fewer pages or a smaller PDF if the operation times out.
