A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use Calendar QR Generator

  1. Enter an event title and choose a timed event or an all-day event.
  2. For a timed event, enter the start and end in UTC. For an all-day event, choose the first and last included dates. Add an optional location and description.
  3. Choose the image size and correction level, then generate your QR code. Download PNG, SVG or the ICS calendar file.
  4. Scan the code and check the dates in your calendar app before sharing. Import the ICS file if your scanner only shows text.

Why use this tool?

Event details are encoded on your device, without a calendar account or external service. Your code contains the event itself, with no tracking redirect. All three downloads are created locally and your inputs are not stored.

Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.

A few things worth knowing

Which time zone is used?

Timed events use UTC explicitly. Enter UTC values rather than local times; calendar apps normally display the corresponding time in their own zone. This version does not convert named time zones. All-day events use dates without a time zone.

How do all-day end dates work?

Choose the last date that should be included. The tool writes the following date as the exclusive end in the calendar file. For a single-day event, enter the same date in both fields.

Will every phone offer to add the event?

No. Calendar QR recognition depends on the scanning app. Some readers display the calendar text instead. Download the ICS file and import it into a compatible calendar app as an alternative. Always check the imported details.

Does this send invitations or update an existing event?

No. It creates a standalone static event with no attendees, reminders, recurrence or meeting service. Editing or regenerating it does not update previously imported events. Repeated imports may create duplicates.

Can anyone read the event details?

Yes. QR codes and ICS files are not encryption. Anyone with access to them can read the title, dates, location and notes. Keep details concise so the code remains easy to scan.
