Up to 128 MiB per file; decoded audio up to 256 MiB (about 23 min mono / 11½ min stereo). Formats depend on your browser's decoder. Working audio and WAV exports use 48 kHz.

Load audio to choose a section.
Drag the Start and End handles to resize the highlighted selection, or drag anywhere on the waveform to draw a new selection. A single click seeks playback without changing that selection. Handle keyboard controls: ← / → adjust 0.01 s; Shift adjusts 1 s; Home / End reach the permitted boundary.

Trim selection

Times snap to the nearest working sample; the end sample is excluded. Sliders move in 1 ms steps. Exact fields accept finer timing. Hard cuts can click at a waveform discontinuity; fades will be a separate tool.
Preview only. Downloaded samples keep their original decoded level.
ACTUAL EXPORTED AUDIO

Create a trimmed WAV to preview the actual output.
48 kHz · signed 16-bit PCM WAV · original mono/stereo channels. Browser decoding may resample the source; compressed sources are decoded and re-encoded. WAV can be larger than the original. Tags, chapters and artwork are not copied. Peaks beyond the PCM range are clipped and reported.
A FEW SIMPLE STEPS
How to use Audio Trimmer / Cutter
Choose or drop one supported audio file, or try the generated sample. Wait for the file area to show Ready.
Drag across the waveform or use paired sliders and exact start/end fields to choose a section. Preview the selection or the full source.
Choose Create trimmed WAV, then listen to the actual exported preview and download it. Changing the selection clears the previous export.

Why use this tool?
Your audio is never uploaded to any server; decoding, selection, playback and WAV encoding run locally in your browser. There is no account, audio history or processing service.
Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.
A few things worth knowing
Which audio formats are supported?
Input decoding depends on your browser and operating system. Common WAV and MP3 files usually work; AAC/M4A, Ogg, FLAC and WebM support varies. Missing or infinite initial duration metadata falls back to local decoding; the decoded duration is checked before audio is accepted. Undecodable files are rejected. Export is 48 kHz, 16-bit PCM WAV only.
What are the limits?
One file up to 128 MiB, mono or stereo. Decoded float audio is limited to 256 MiB: at 48 kHz, about 23 minutes mono or 11½ minutes stereo. The full file is decoded in memory; very long recordings and multichannel audio are outside scope. Browser/device memory may impose lower practical limits. Loading and export have timeouts, and cancellation ignores late results.
Is the original audio preserved exactly?
The original file is unchanged. The browser decodes and resamples the working audio to 48 kHz; the selection is rounded to working sample boundaries and encoded as 16-bit PCM. This is not bit-perfect compressed-audio cutting. Out-of-range amplitudes are clipped and reported. Metadata and artwork are not copied.
Does the volume control change the download?
No. Listening volume only affects source playback. The generated WAV has its own native preview controls and retains decoded source levels. Use a separate volume tool when it becomes available for level changes.
Why can a cut make a click?
A hard cut can introduce a discontinuity when the waveform is away from zero. This first tool does not add fades, silence detection or automatic zero-crossing adjustments. Listen to the actual output before using it.
