Up to 128 MiB per file; decoded audio up to 256 MiB (about 23 min mono / 11½ min stereo). Formats depend on your browser's decoder. Working decode uses 48 kHz; original WAV header parameters are listed separately.

DECODED SAMPLE ANALYSIS
Levels and channels
Original parameters are verified only for supported, consistent RIFF/WAVE headers within a bounded 64 KiB scan. Other codecs and bit depths are not guessed. Decoding can resample or change duration. File size / decoded duration is an approximate average file rate including metadata. Full-scale sample counts do not prove previous clipping. Correlation is undefined for a silent channel. Reports include the selected filename; nothing is sent to a server.
A FEW SIMPLE STEPS
How to use Audio Information
Choose or drop audio, or try the local sample. Wait for the filename, size and decoded-ready status.
Review original WAV header information separately from 48 kHz browser-decoded statistics. Unknown original parameters stay unknown.
Play, pause and seek through decoded audio. Review per-channel sample peak, RMS, DC and full-scale counts.
Download a JSON/TXT report or copy it. Replacing or clearing the source removes obsolete analysis.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Why use this tool?
Your audio is never uploaded to a server. Capture, decoding, analysis and file generation happen locally in your browser using self-hosted code, without an account or audio history.
Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.
A few things worth knowing
Does this show the original codec and sample rate?
Supported consistent RIFF/WAVE headers can establish declared PCM/float encoding, channels, rate, depth and data length. Inspection reads at most 64 KiB and 128 chunk headers. For other formats or unsupported headers, original parameters are not guessed from MIME, extension or decoded samples.
Why does decoded audio say 48 kHz?
All existing audio tools decode into a shared 48 kHz browser working buffer. It can differ from the original file rate. Original WAV header details are shown separately; compressed codec details may remain unknown.
Is this a loudness or clipping certification?
No. Sample peaks are not true peaks; RMS is not LUFS. Counts at or beyond full scale describe current decoded samples and do not prove earlier clipping. Correlation is an uncentered sample relationship, undefined for silence in a channel.
What is the file bitrate estimate?
File bytes times eight divided by decoded duration, including metadata and container overhead. It is an average file-rate estimate, not the original codec bitrate. Browser decoding may also affect measured duration.
What are the limits?
One file up to 128 MiB, supported by your browser decoder, with mono/stereo decoded float samples within 256 MiB. Analysis has a 30-second deadline. Header inspection is bounded; replacing, cancelling or clearing terminates analysis and ignores stale results.
