Unencrypted PDF · 50 MiB and 500 pages · new selection replaces the working document

No working PDF. You can also start with Merge PDFs or Images to PDF.

Thumbnail checkboxes sync with this field. Blank means all pages; “none” means no selection.

Organize pages

Select thumbnails, then rotate, remove or restore those pages. Drag cards to reorder, or use Earlier/Later buttons.

Include every original page once, including pages marked for removal. Ascending and descending ranges are supported.

No compression, OCR, form editing, password removal or secure redaction. Document-level metadata, bookmarks, attachments and signatures are not preserved as a new PDF; page annotations may be copied.

WORKING DOCUMENT · GENERATED RESULT

Choose a file to see its pages. Previews are rendered locally.

No document selected.

Ready for a document.

Working previews show planned page operations. Generated-result mode renders the actual exported PDF, image, or selected ZIP part. Preview resolution is reduced for speed; download quality is unchanged. Links, scripts and attachments are not opened.

Only single PDF results up to 50 MiB can become the working document.

PDF and image results are previewed from actual output; ZIP split results are browsable by part. Watermark/number drafts use approximate browser fonts. Large PDF results above 50 MiB can be downloaded but not previewed or adopted here. Processing occurs only in page memory; clear releases document versions and results.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use PDF Workspace

  1. Open a working PDF, or start with Merge PDFs or Images to PDF. Selected filenames, sizes and loading status appear locally.
  2. Choose a workflow. Use thumbnail selections, drag-and-drop order and keyboard buttons, or exact page ranges and settings.
  3. Generate and review the actual result. To chain PDF operations, choose Use result as working PDF, then select another workflow. Draft page plans must be generated and adopted before other operations use them.
  4. Download the result or current working PDF. Undo recovers one prior working document; Restore original returns to the initial PDF. Clear releases all document versions, queues and results.
  5. When edits are complete, choose Lock PDF, enter and confirm an opening password, then generate and download the encrypted result. Your editable working PDF stays available.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Why use this tool?

Your PDFs, images, custom labels and extracted text are never uploaded to a server. Existing self-hosted PDF, text and image engines run locally. Document handoffs occur only in page memory, so you can combine operations without repeatedly downloading and reopening files.

Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.

A few things worth knowing

How do I combine operations?

Generate an operation, inspect its output, then click Use result as working PDF. Subsequent operations use that PDF. A draft does not silently change the working document. Undo retains one previous working PDF; Restore original returns to the first opened or adopted PDF. Versions are not saved after clearing or leaving the page.

Which tools are included?

Reorder, rotate and remove pages; merge PDFs; extract pages or split into PDF/ZIP parts; text watermarks; page numbering; embedded-text extraction; PDF to PNG/JPEG; and images to PDF. The standalone tools remain available. Compression, OCR, interactive form editing, password removal and secure redaction are not included. Lock PDF adds AES-256 opening-password encryption as a final export.

What are the limits?

Working PDFs are limited to 50 MiB and 500 pages. Merge accepts up to 20 PDFs totaling 100 MiB and 500 pages. PDF output is capped at 100 MiB; only single PDF results up to 50 MiB can be previewed and adopted. Image import accepts up to 20 static images totaling 80 MiB. Image export accepts up to 20 pages and 80 MiB of images; text extraction up to 100 pages and 5 million characters. Operations have time limits and Stop discards partial results. Lock PDF has a 60-second processing limit; its passwords use 8–100 printable ASCII characters.

Can I adopt a ZIP or text result?

Only a single PDF result can become the working document. Split ZIPs can be previewed by part and downloaded; open a PDF part explicitly to continue. Text and image exports have their own previews and downloads. Larger PDF results can be downloaded even when they exceed the workspace preview/adoption limit. Encrypted Lock PDF results are final downloads and cannot be adopted; the current unencrypted working PDF remains available.

Are previews exact and is PDF content preserved?

Generated-result mode renders the actual output. Watermark and numbering drafts use approximate browser fonts; check generated pages for placement. PDF page operations copy content without rasterizing it. Image conversions create rasterized or re-encoded outputs. New PDFs do not preserve document-level metadata, bookmarks, attachments or signatures; page annotations may be copied. Encrypted PDFs, interactive forms and signature fields are unsupported.
